KLASSE LAUNCHES DIRECT LINE AND GAINS A NEW RECRUIT
Progressive growth brings dedicated order line to AI business
Increasing sales and expansion of our Klasse AI business has meant the installation of a new direct line for ordering semen and AI supplies – Tel. 01733 512222.
Managed by Kathy Sapsed, who joined the Rattlerow-Klasse family during November, the service will co-ordinate all semen ordering and AI distribution from the company’s four UK-based studs. Based at our Long Meadow stud, she will oversee the development of a more bespoke customer interface. A key part of her role will involve communication with clients to help plan their AI requirements in line with individual breeding programmes and production criteria.
Klasse’s stud capacity will increase significantly during the next six months, with plans currently underway to double sire numbers at the Thorney stud. The expansion is being fuelled by increased demand for both sire and dam line semen from its range of high performance Rattlerow and DanAvl boars now standing at AI centres.

Kathy is delighted to join the company at such an exciting time.
“I’m thoroughly looking forward to my new role here as it combines my admin skills and my interest in agriculture. I’m also keen to talk to the customers and learn how we can help them optimise our expanding AI technologies and genetic resources,” she said.
She has considerable experience, having previously held a similar position with another AI stud, and has wide-ranging communication and administration skills gleaned from various retail/admin roles in agriculture, the motor trade and as a supplier to an independent bakery.
Located in Cambridgeshire, Kathy has firm farming connections, too. She is married to Hugh, who is Farmers Weekly Farmer Worker of the Year 2017, and they have a son Freddie, who is a civil engineer, and a daughter Iona who is studying at Harper Adams University. She is also a keen cook, gardener and bridge player.
